So im just starting to do music videos and wanting to get a new camera. Do you have any suggestions on a starter camera for a beginner? I want something high quality but also user friendly! Is “Windows Live Movie Maker” an option to produce a semi professional music video clip? The video im workin on is more like a “diary” with plenty of different home camera shots and spots all around the world…thx in advance

hello,
my name is victor rick from lagos, Nigeria.am a newbie in music video directing.i acquire a premiere pro cs5 and after effect cs5.these softwares are amazing.
i have learnt so many tricks on my own,i want some profession advice from you because am really into these.my nessds,
1.i want a range of hd cameras that are professional for music video shoots.
2.i want pluggins (ranges) for which to select from.
3. is there any post productions after am done with edting on my pc?

Thanks for the tips. I am an editor but my major challenge is grading my final edit. Please how can I grade my pictures for me to have good feel of my final edit?

What are you dissatisfied with? Is it the texture or the cutting? The only way to improve the texture -- assuming the footage was well lit and exposed -- is with good grading. Some plugins can improve the look, but you cannot beat a talented colorist using a package like Apple Color, which is part of Final Cut Studio. With regard to the edit, there is definitely no plugin for that -- only good editing can fix it! Learn the art of editing or hire a talented editor. (See above.)

I am starting to edit music videos for friends and my finished product doesn’t have that polished look. Is there a final step to be taken for sweetening. Is there a plugin or a device I should run through. Any advice helpful.
